Canada Line

A bus fare ticket in Richmond for students, $1.75. A ticket for 2 zones for students, $2.50. Not having to wait half an hour because you missed your bus, priceless. On August 17th 2009, Richmond took a giant leap forward in advanced technology as the Canada Line finally opened. This sky train links Downtown to Richmond and the YVR Airport. The price? It costs just as much as traveling by bus. So what did the Canada Line bring us? A faster, more reliable AND frequent source of transportation that connects local Richmond citizens to Downtown Vancouver. It takes 25 minutes to get from Richmond Brighouse (the station across Richmond Centre) to Waterfront station. In addition, the sky train comes as frequent as every 4 minutes during peak hours and every 10 minutes after 11:00pm. Buses come every 15 minutes, even during busy times! It takes 13 stations to get from Waterfront to Richmond Brighouse and passes by some of the most visited places, such as Aberdeen, Broadway, and Yaletown. The best part is you don't have to pay for parking when you go Downtown. Simply park your car at a parknride, walk, bus, or get a ride to a close station, and sky train down to wherever you need to go! So turn off your cars, get a bus pass, and start sky training to the places you need to go! It's cheap and more environmentally friendly than driving your own car!

T&T Supermarket

Cooking at home tonight? Well T&T is the way to go! They have a vegetable, seafood, fresh meat, dried goods, and much more sections that provide delicious items. They even have a Sushi bar that offers freshly made foods at a reasonable price. The Richmond branch of T&T Supermarket was opened in 1993 and was the second branch to open. Aberdeen Centre

Aberdeen is another mall located on No.3 road. It is beside Parker Place. Aberdeen is another very Chinese oriented mall. The centre is made up of three levels and has a relatively large parking space. One of the most convenient stores in Aberdeen is Daiso, as it sells a variety of products at a low price. Outside Daiso is the fountain, where every certain time interval, it will begin a water show to entertain the shoppers. On the third floor, many individuals are attracted to the food court, where similar to Parker Place, there is a large variety of foods to choose from. In addition during this year's Chinese New Year Celebration, Aberdeen hosted a variety of events related to the festival. Although Aberdeen may not be as large or sophisticated as the malls in Hong Kong, many shoppers choose this mall because it is the closest resemblance to the malls in Hong Kong.
